This book was published to accompany the exhibition Danny Simmons: The Journey of Spirit at Westwood Gallery NYC, which runs from September 11 — November 7, 2026.
Curated by James Cavello and planned with the artist, this exhibition and catalogue marks the first presentation of his work following his passing in June 2026.
The catalogue features Full Circle (2023), Simmons' eleven-panel mixed-media painting selected by the Arts & Design division of the Metropolitan Transit Authority in New York City (MTA) to be the basis of a permanent installation at the newly constructed Jamaica Bus Depot. The catalogue also includes seventeen recent paintings and works on paper completed during the final years of his life alongside poems by Simmons and texts by James Cavello and Margarite Almeida.
