Absolut Vodka art was presented for the first time at Westwood Gallery in conjunction with TBWA/Chiat Day, the Charles E. Tuttle Company and New York Magazine. This exhibition was accompanied by the release of Absolut Book as the exhibition catalog.
Says Margarite Almeida, gallery principal, “people associate with Absolut art; it isn’t strange or far-fetched, and they associate with the artists.”
Absolute Art: The Absolut Vodka Collection highlighted the major artists who have contributed to the Absolut Vodka campaign. Works by Andy Warhol, Romero Britto, Ed Ruscha, Joyce Tenneson, Keith Haring, Helmut Newton, Ginny Rufner and George Rodrigue, among others, were featured.
