Fernando Botero is an artist known round the world for his voluminous figures that exide health and a subtle sense of humor. In 1951, Botero’s first exhibition was held in Colombian photographer Leo Matiz’s gallery.
Marlborough Gallery will open its exhibition of these paintings and on the same day, May 10, Westwood Gallery in SoHo will open its retrospective on the photographs of Matiz.
