An Algerian Village, in Robes & Khakis

Lazhar Mansouri’s Portraits of a Village
William Meyers, New York Sun, 29 Mar 2007

Algerian studio photographer Lazhar Mansouri’s Portraits of a Village are now on display at Westwood Gallery. Some of the pictures at Westwood were taken when Mr. Mansouri was as young as 18; the rest were taken over the next three decades, until he closed his studio for fear of the changed political climate.

The exhibition will run until May 12
