Boris Lurie's artwork is on view in Stop Painting, curated by Peter Fischl, at the Fondazione Prada, Venice.
The exhibition examined five radical ruptures caused by technological and social changes that marked artistic paradigm shifts and the reinvention of painting. The curatorial discourse was structured around five breaking points: the birth of photography, the acceptance of the readymade, the death of the author, the rise of the idea of the “extended art concept,” and the crisis of criticism.
Stop Painting is on view through November 21, 2021.
