Early work by Boris Lurie is featured in Testimony: Boris Lurie & Jewish Artists from New York at the Neues Museum Nuremberg through February 1, 2026. Curated by Sara Softness, the exhibition places Lurie’s provocative Dismembered Women series (1950s) in dialogue with works by three contemporary Jewish artists—Zoë Buckman (b. 1985), Fancy Feast (b. 1988), and Marsha Pels (b. 1948).
Testimony: Boris Lurie & Jewish Artists from New York expands the existing interpretative frameworks and discourse around Lurie's oeuvre to include a feminist perspective explored through contemporary sculptures, textile, and video works.
The exhibition is on view from September 26, 2025 through Februaray 1, 2026.
